Managing and viewing events on Clipfarm
An event represents a single FTC competition. It has a match schedule, a list of registered teams, and clips attached as matches are played.
Browsing events
All events are listed at clipfarm.watch/events, organized into Upcoming, Live, and Past sections. Click any event to see its match schedule, team list, and available clips.
Getting an event on Clipfarm
Events are assigned to organizer accounts by Clipfarm staff. Once assigned, the event appears under Dashboard -> Events where you can configure its streaming setup and track clip counts.
To request an event, reach out via Discord or the contact form with:
- Event name, date, and location
- Your organizer account email
- Which streaming mode you plan to use
Clipfarm syncs team lists, match schedules, alliance assignments, and final scores from the FIRST API when available.
Stream setup
Once your event is assigned, configure it from Dashboard -> Events -> [your event]:
- Cloud lets you paste your YouTube or Twitch stream URL in and let us do the rest.
- RTMP is for streaming directly to Clipfarm, copy our RTMP credentials and enter them into your encoder.
- For MatchBox, copy the event authorization token into the MatchBox app
See Streaming Modes for a detailed comparison.
Visibility
| Setting | Who can see it |
|---|---|
| Public | Anyone — searchable and indexable, default! |
| Unlisted | Anyone with a direct link |
| Private | Authorized users only |
Clips from public events remain publicly accessible regardless of the event's visibility setting, they document public competitions.
Analytics
Organizers can view per-event analytics under Dashboard -> Analytics: clip view counts, viewer trends, top matches by views, and pageview summaries. Data refreshes every 5 seconds during live events.
